Witness moments at the hands of at least five people experienced an 11-year-old girl in Kosovo. The authorities of Kosovo have already proceeded to arrest four people who allegedly raped the minor.

According to the interior minister of Kosovo the horrible event took place in the previous days in Pristina while for her part the President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani promised a quick and immediate response from the authorities for the “shocking and inhuman act” that has shocked the Kosovars.

On the occasion of the girl’s rape, Osmani stated that “the time has come to proceed with legislative changes that further toughen the punishments for the perpetrators”. At the same time, Kosovar Prime Minister Albin Kurti urged the police authorities “to bring the suspects to justice as soon as possible”, while he spoke of a “shocking, reprehensible and unacceptable crime”.

“Such violent acts of violence against children must be treated with high seriousness, institutionally and socially and culturally,” Kurti concluded.
