Not one, not two, but four transfers were made by AEL on the last day of the transfer period! Transfer rush for the blue and yellow, in an attempt to strengthen their roster even more, wanting to have a leading course. The bad image of the team in the premiere of the league also contributed to this. That is why the Sophokleous administration wanted to satisfy all the “wants” of its coach, once again making a financial excess.
AEL, therefore, proceeded with four new additions, after other positions on the roster were freed up. The collaboration with Ristevski and Mazan ended. The new signings are Saido Berahino (photo), Dolantoni Zabu Nguemese, Christian Bilovar and Amadou Sis.
The first, which is also the most resounding transfer of the four completed yesterday, is a 29-year-old striker from Burundi, who took his first football steps in the West Brom academy. He stayed in the first team until 2017, recording 105 appearances and 23 goals. Subsequently, he played in Stoke City (51 appearances, 3 goals), while he also went through Belgium wearing the jersey of Zulte Waregem and then from France, in Charleroi. Last season he returned to England, at Sheffield Wednesday, with whom he made 29 appearances and scored 8 goals.
Dolandoni Zabou Nguemese, is a 19-year-old Cameroonian striker with a Greek passport, who played for the Karaiskakis team in Greece (Super League 2), while he had a pass from the PAOK academy. He signed a contract for 1+1+1 years.
Kristian Bilovar, is a 21-year-old Ukrainian central defender. He was acquired on a one-year loan from Ukrainian side Dynamo Kyiv. He is international with the Ukrainian U21 national team. Last year, the 1.91m tall stopper, played in Chernomorets with which he made 12 appearances.
The fourth of AEL’s four transfer acquisitions yesterday, Amadou Sis is a 23-year-old Senegalese midfielder. He belongs to French Amiens, while he also played for Turkish Antanaspor and Dutch Fortuna Sittart. Covers more of the left end of the attack.
