In a harsh tone, the response of the Regional Governor of Attica, Nikos Hardalias, to the Panhellenic Federation of Retired Soldiers (POMAS), which in a statement states that the Region has approved the allocation of 6,000,000 euros from the Recovery and Resilience Fund for the armoring of the military nursing institutions of the Basin.
In response, Mr. Hardalias clarifies that the relevant decision concerns the financing of equipment for military hospitals, through the Regional Program “Attiki” 2021-2027 which is part of the NSRF 2021-2027 and has nothing to do with the Recovery and Resilience Fund.
Hardalia’s response to POMAS
In particular, Mr. Hardalias states:
Regarding the unacceptable and completely unfounded statements made in the announcement of the Panhellenic Federation of Veterans (POMAS), which was published on websites, we clarify the following, as a due response to the lie:*
- The accession decision signed by the Regional Governor of Attica on 04/18/2024 (ADA: 6Λ9Α7Λ7-4Ε6), concerns the financing of equipment for military hospitals, through the Regional Program “Attica” 2021-2027.
- The Regional Program “Attica” 2021-2027, is part of the NSRF 2021-2027 and has nothing, but nothing to do with the Recovery and Resilience Fund!
- The “Attica” Regional Program 2021-2027 was approved by the E.U. in 2022, has a total budget of 1.6 billion euros, is under the exclusive management of the Regional Governor and the Administrative Authority of the Region of Attica, and is financed exclusively by the Region of Attica through the PDE and from Community resources.
- The Recovery and Resilience Fund is a completely different financial tool, which is managed by the Ministry of National Economy and Finance and in which the Region of Attica has no management or other role.
Get serious now, POMA gentlemen. Take off the glasses of partisanship. If you’re not stupid, then you’re haphazardly and dangerously irrelevant!
