“The Curse of Gela Delafraga” comes 23 years later

Gela Delafraga, to be precise her “curse”, returns!

Twenty-three years after the film “The Cry Came From Heaven”dedicated to Greek cinema, “The Curse of Jella Delafraga” is coming a satire, a tribute to the biggest hits of modern Greek television, through the comical eyes of the duo of hits Thanasis Papathanasiou – Michalis Reppa.

“A parody is a caricature of the work to which it refers. And we, 23 years later, are returning to “Crying Out of Heaven” but parodying modern television”say the creators themselves.

It develops between two villages, Ano and Kato Paparia a love story of Romeo and Juliet… from then on, nothing will be left standing! Rogue businessmen, entanglement, family estrangement, professional killers, blackmail, kidnapping and every kind of possible and unlikely twist will happen in this series. May “Jela D” and its fougaras be wellbecause the veteran lawyer Stefanos Baras may have retired to Athens, but the curse of Gela will remain forever.

With an all-star cast of actors, in an all-dream setting, flamboyant, flamboyant clothes and iconic make-up, we’ll enjoy TV’s turn from the glamorous Vlachobaroque to the Greek countryside and laugh at the titillating lines we’ve all come to love. A camp television masterpiece with witty stories and memories that have “written” deep inside us and perhaps shaped us on television.

This folk extravaganza is musically signed by Giorgos Theofanous (composition) and Aphrodite Manou (lyrics) with 14 original songs that will be interspersed with fantastic, Dalianid choreographies.
