A 14-year-old boy in Wisconsin, USA, Elijah Olson, has been charged with attempted murder for shooting his girlfriend three times in the head after she asked him to break up.

14-year-old Jazlyn Jones, who was shot, miraculously survived. She said that everything happened on Sunday while she had gone for a walk with Olson to smoke.

The boy faces up to 60 years in prison as he was charged as an adult, the New York Post reports.

“You Must Die”

According to what the 14-year-old told the police, after she told Olson she wanted a divorce, he first ordered her to turn off her cell phone, which she threw away. He then pulled out a white revolver, pointed her in the head and fired once.

When the girl asked him not to kill her, Olson told her “you have to die.” He then shot her twice more and disappeared in an unknown direction.

Despite her injuries, the 14-year-old managed to stop a passing motorcyclist who informed the authorities.

He lost the sight in one eye

At the hospital, Jazzlyn identified Elijah Olson as the perpetrator of her attack.

As members of her family stated, the 14-year-old has already undergone a lengthy surgery and several other surgeries are already planned.

“Our baby will have to live with seeing out of one eye and with bullets in her neck and head,” her family said in a GoFundMe post.

As for the perpetrator, he confessed to his act and claimed that “I did it in a fit of rage after a post on Snapchat and a proposal for a breakup.”

The police who found him at a friend’s house confiscated a 22-gauge pistol and two magazines for a 9-gauge pistol, while bloody shoes and clothes were found in his house.
