The US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) released shocking footage of Hurricane Fiona from a marine drone.

This is the Saildrone Explorer SD 1078, which was found in the heart of the category 4 tropical cyclone. The marine drone fight with waves 15 meters high and winds that touched at speed the 160 kilometers per hour.

SD 1078 is now located 315 nautical miles southwest of Bermudawhere is expected to “hit” the hurricane Fiona. It is one of seven maritime drones located in the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico to collect data and provide a whole new perspective on one of the most powerful destructive forces on Earth.

THE Cyclone Fiona strengthened further on Wednesday, reaching tier 4, having previously passed through the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, leaving most of those islands without electricity. At least eight people died.

Fiona is accompanied by winds blowing at a speed of 215 kilometers per hour and it is expected that it will be strengthened further in Bermuda. Meteorologists, however, predict that the island will not receive a direct hit. The cyclone may reach at coast of Canada in the Atlantic on Friday.
