And yet it’s not a joke, it’s reality as they’ve been broadcasting it for a few minutes in Turkey. Recep Tayyip Erdogan took a position in the open conflict that has broken out between Maccabi, Ataman and Panathinaikos! Yes, you read that right!

The president of Turkey got into the middle of a case that started with basketball, with the greens raising a storm of protests considering that they were wronged in the first match of the playoff series with Maccabi where they were defeated and then yesterday OAKA was given the second final that they won Panathinaikos.

With the tension being red, both during the match and afterwards, both in the locker room and in the statements with Maccabi denouncing Ataman and Panathinaikos and the Turkish coach changing with what he mentioned about “Zionists and threats received by the Israelis” in something other than just a basketball “battle” against Maccabi for a ticket to the Final-4 in Berlin.

According to the Turkish press, the coach of the “greens” received a personal phone call from Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The President of the neighboring country expressed his absolute support for the “clover” coach. Also, a few hours before the threats that Ergin Ataman complains he received were also condemned by the Turkish Basketball Federation.
