The Ryanair flight from Poland landed at “Eleftherios Venizelos” after the bomb alert

Notice for bomb sent a plane Boeing 737 of Ryanair with 192 passengers, from Katowice, Poland bound for Athens. At 17:40 the aircraft landed at Athens International Airport, while a rapid evacuation is taking place.

NATO proceeded with an update from the Skopje FIR.

Due to the bomb threat, the aircraft was accompanied by F-16 fighters while special forces have also moved to Eleftherios Venizelos airport. The fighters are noted to be returning to Nea Aghialos.

Hungarian fighter jets also took off earlier due to the state of emergency, while as stipulated by the protocol, the Boeing flew over sea space.

A special area has been provided at the airport for the plane from Katowice. The authorities go there with a team of TEEM dogs.
