Lamia is out of the relegation zone

Lamia made a “leap” of staying after its 2-0 victory over PAS Ioannina at “Ath. Diakos”, at the premiere of the Super League play outs. The main protagonist of the winners was Nikos Vergos, who with two goals in the first half (12′, 45+1′) prematurely “locked” the “three points”, placing his team above the relegation zone. The team of Fthiotida was left with ten players in the 53′, after the dismissal of De Vincenti, while just before the final Manousos was also dismissed, facing a second yellow card.

Vergos showed his mood from the beginning of the match, initially missing a chance in the 9th minute and scoring 1-0 three minutes later. Specifically, in the 12th minute, Martinez attempted a shot from a distance, with the ball finding Bakadimas and changing direction. Tsintotas tried in vain to control and the following Vergos easily found the net.

Lamia continued to threaten and in the first minute of stoppage time in the first half saw Vergo head in after a free-kick to double his team’s tally.

The hosts were left with 53 players, after the dismissal of De Vinciti with a second yellow card, but they were still not threatened by PAS who had problems in creating and finishing the phases. In the 67th minute there was a stoppage after a problem with the VAR, while the rest of the match went without any upsets for the home team.
