Salma Hayek has shared rare photos from her wedding to tycoon Francois-Henri Pinault, celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary.

The couple, the glamorous actress and the head of Kering, one of the richest people in the world, Francois Henri Pinault, married 15 years ago in Venice.

It was a two-day celebration for the couple’s friends and family who traveled from every corner of the Earth to be by their side and celebrate. The first day of the two-day wedding was a big Venetian mask party at the Punta della Dogana, with Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault’s guests all wearing gold and black Venetian masks.

Pino’s family had bought the old building in 2007 and paid for its restoration. In June 2009 it reopened to the public as an art museum with temporary exhibits from the Pinot Collection.

The reception was held at Palazzo Grassi, an important location for the couple, as it was there that they met in 2006 at a gala. The Pino family bought the building in May 2005. The couple got engaged in 2007 and their daughter was born in September of that year.

The pre-wedding glamourous couple in Venice tied the knot at the 6th arrondissement town hall in Paris on Valentine’s Day shortly before welcoming their daughter into the world.

As for that wedding in Paris, Salma Hayek in an interview with Glamor last year, said she had no idea she was getting married that day, until her family…kidnapped her and took her to city hall! “They just took me to the town hall. My parents, my brother, they all came together. I had a phobia about the topic of marriage”, he had characteristically said.

On the 15th anniversary of their first wedding ceremony in Paris, Hayek also shared a photo. “After 18 years together and 15 years of marriage, you still make love for you easy, fun, deep and fresh like a gentle breeze. Happy anniversary mi amor,” the actress wrote.

However, there was also something of a third marriage when François-Henri Pinault surprised Hayek with a third ceremony, this time a renewal of vows, in 2018 in the Bora Bora Islands.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in 2017, the actress attributed her long and happy marriage to marrying “the right man” and cited their mutual support for each other as the strength of their marriage.

“We want each other to strive for each other. It makes you happy when the other person tries. And, you know what, we don’t have a very intense social life because we really enjoy spending time together. So we spend a lot of quality time together,” said the actress.

The second photo, a black-and-white photo, showed her more than $400,000 Balenciaga wedding dress designed by Nicolas Ghesquiere hanging on a rack next to another outfit.

The last photo shows the moment Pino put the wedding ring on Salma Hayek’s finger.
