The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated today that the support provided by USAthe Britain and the France in Ukraine fuels serious strategic risks, raising the possibility of direct confrontation between the world’s major nuclear powers.
Lavrov assessed that the US and NATO are obsessed with the idea of succeeding “strategic defeat” in Russia and added that there is a risk that this confrontation could lead to an increased level of nuclear danger.
“The West is heading dangerously towards the brink of an outright military one conflict between nuclear powerswhich will have disastrous consequences”the Russian minister emphasized.
“Of particular concern is the fact that the ‘troika’ of Western nuclear countries are among the main financiers of the criminal regime in Kiev, the main instigators of various provocative steps. We see strategic risks in this, leading to an increase in the level of nuclear risk.”Lavrov added.
The three Western countries that have nuclear weapons are the US, Britain and France.
