An incredible incident happened in Brazilwhere a 34-year-old pregnant woman, was forced to give birth standing in the elevator of her apartment building, when her waters suddenly broke and she didn’t have time to go to the maternity ward. In fact, the birth was also recorded on video! Fortunately, both the mother and the baby girl she gave birth to are in good health.
The pregnant woman was 37 weeks pregnant when her water broke, she told the CNNi. She noted that around midnight she felt strong contractions and immediately called her husband who was not home.
The pregnant woman’s husband immediately called a neighbor and the 34-year-old’s mother, who is a nurse.

The 34-year-old’s mother provided first aid to her daughter and took her to the elevator to go to the hospital. However, the baby seems to be… in a hurry and so the pregnant woman gave birth in the elevator and in a standing position with the help of her mother.
The baby girl was measured at 41 cm tall and weighed 2.165 kg. The mother was immediately discharged from the maternity ward, while the baby had to stay in an incubator to receive the necessary care. The parents decided to name the baby girl Joana Casella Amaro in honor of her grandmother.
