Researchers present Mindy – What humans could look like 800 years from now – Our 3,000 body will be the result of widespread use of mobile phones and computers
Researchers created a model called “Mindy,” which they claim depicts humans less than 800 years from now, due to our reliance on technology.
According to the researchers the people of 3,000 will be hunched over, with wide necks, and a second set of eyelids.
Mindy was created by Toll Free Forwarding as a way of visualizing how technology affects our bodies.
“Let’s create the man of the future whose body has changed due to overuse smartphones, laptops etc.”, explain the people in charge of the research.
Meanwhile, the elbows of of 3,000 people maybe they form a right angle from the way we hold the mobile phone and write on the computer.
Speaking to Toll Free Forwarding, Mr Dr. Nikola Djordjevic from Med Alert Help explained: “The way we hold our phones can put pressure on certain contact points – causing right-angle, which is known as cubital tunnel.
“Hours spent looking at our phones will not only create a hump but also a thicker neck,” according to the researchers model Mindy.
Other strange features we can expect include a thicker skull and smaller brain, as well as a second eyelid to prevent overexposure to light.
“Humans may develop a larger inner eyelid to prevent exposure to excessive light or the lens of the eye may be evolutionarily developed to block incoming blue light but not other high-wavelength lights such as green, yellow or red,” said Kasun Ratnayake of the University of Toledo.
Mindy is the successor of Emma introduced in 2019 to highlight the importance of good working conditions.
