The premise of the series
Gadd plays a man, the Donny Dunn, who works in a bar. One day an unknown woman enters, Martha, played by Jessica Gunning. Donny takes pity on her and buys her a drink, and from then on Martha misinterprets his behavior as a love interest and becomes his shadow everywhere, in the physical and online worlds, affectionately calling him “little reindeer». Donny becomes her obsession, even attacking people close to him.

The reason he chose Gunning to play her was because he was looking for “the essence, the energy of that person, that no one else had like her. She is excellent.
