Traditionally, the Greek Easter is the occasion to go out to the Region, where the traditional customs have their due. However, the cost of traveling to the village by car is now high with the rising price of fuel. Therefore, those who choose to spend Easter outside the city will need to put their hand deep in their pocket.

Today the average price of gasoline nationwide reached 2,039 euros, making even nearby destinations expensive.

Indicative costs for “hot” Easter destinations

The cost of traveling by car to Nafplio, a distance of 140 kilometers from Athens, costs 70 euros round trip for a family.

A family to travel to Agrinio will have to pay 44 euros only for fuel and 18.64 euros for tolls for a total cost of 62.64. With the return together, the travel cost exceeds 180 euros.

Market players fear that the price of lead-free may rise further next week.
