About 15 of the 31 accused fans who were brought to court in the morning, have already completed their statements in front of the Investigators who are handling the case of the criminal organization charged with the policeman’s death Giorgos Lyggeridis.

Investigators and Prosecutors have already ruled, according to information, on the pre-trial detention of two defendants, one of whom is referred to in the case file as nicknamed “Kokos” and is 31 years old, while the other is 26 years old.

For four, the judicial authority decided that they will be released with restrictive conditions. Among them the minor brother of the 18-year-old remanded in custody for the murder of the policeman. The minor in his apology reportedly referred to the evening of December 7 when outside the stadium at Renti fatally struck the policeman, saying he was there and threw a naval flare.

What the 16-year-old who was released testified

The 16-year-old defendant reportedly said he was with his brother, who reportedly confessed to throwing the fatal flare into the stadium while the match had started and that after the first set, the stadium door opened and he saw about 100 people to move by running outwards.

“Then my brother followed them to see what was going on. So I went outside to see what was going on. In my attempt to reach my brother, who was quite a distance ahead of me, I remained on the spot for some minutes in the crowd, when a stranger gave me a flare to hold.

First time in my life I caught a flare, I didn’t know exactly what it is and how it works. As soon as I realized that there was some dangerous object in my hand, I got scared and immediately let it go from my hand and threw it down.”

Among those who have been released is a man accused of numerous felonies. In particular, the restrictive conditions of the ban on entering the playing fields, the ban on leaving the country and the mandatory appearance in Police Department.

The apologies continue.
