Nikos Kaklamanakis was declared an honorary doctor of the University today

Nikolaos Th. Kaklamanakis, Olympic Gold Medalist in Sailing (1996 – Atlanta), Silver Olympic Medalist in Sailing (2004 – Athens,) will be awarded an Honorary Doctorate of the Departments of Speech Therapy and Physiotherapy of the University of Patras, today Friday, April 26, 2024 at 6:30 pm in the Ceremony Hall “Odysseus Elytis”.

The work and personality of the honoree will be presented by the Assistant Professor of the Speech Therapy Department, Panagiotis Plotas, while the awardee will be announced as an Honorary Doctor of the Speech Therapy and Physiotherapy Departments by the President, Associate Professor Nikolaos Trimmis and Vice-President Professor Evdokia Bili, respectively. The vesting of the honoree will be carried out by the Rector of the University, Professor Christos Bouras. The pricing event will conclude with the speech of Mr. N. Kaklamanakis entitled: “My journey in the heart of the storm”.
