The first 10 of those arrested for the incidents in Rentis that led to the death of the 31-year-old police officer, Giorgos Lyggeridis, are expected to cross the threshold of the appellant investigator on Friday (26/4).
Among the charges against them are membership of a criminal group and violation of the drug law.
The apologies of all 67 arrested are expected to be completed during the weekend (27-28/4).
New arrest warrants are coming
According to information from cnn.gr, new arrest warrants are expected for leading officials who have to do with the murder of the police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis as well as with the activities of the criminal organization in general.
It is recalled that the case file that has been filed concerns approximately 160 people, with only 67 of them having been arrested. Out of the 160, 15 are minors.
The offenses charged to the perpetrators
It should be noted that the Athens Prosecutor’s Office brought criminal charges against the 67 arrested for a total of 28 offences.
In particular, criminal prosecution was brought for the following charges:
Criminal organization directorate (eight people)
Formation and membership of a criminal organization.
Homicide during a sporting event.
Moral complicity in homicide during a sporting event.
Assisting in homicide during a sporting event
An explosion that also resulted in the death of another during a sporting event.
Moral responsibility in the explosion that resulted in the death of another during a sporting event
Contributing to the explosion resulting in the death of another during a sporting event.
Manufacture of explosive devices for the purpose of illegally supplying organizations with the occasion of a sporting event.
Ethical authorship in the manufacture of explosive and incendiary materials which may cause danger to a person on the occasion of a sporting event.
Blackmail by threatening to damage another’s business by complicity during a sporting event.
Robbery by accomplice and serial with a sports background.
Distinctive violence against employees who were in serious danger.
Arson from which a common danger to foreign objects may arise during a sporting event.
Disturbing the public peace during a sporting event.
Damage to foreign property during a sporting event.
Dangerous bodily harm against employees and non-employees.
Violence against another during a sporting event.
Possession of objects that can cause bodily harm during a sporting event.
Possession of flares and firecrackers during a sporting event.
Possession of objects capable of causing bodily harm.
Theft by complicity.
Illegal gun possession.
illegal carrying of weapons.
Follow-up weapon use
Illegal possession of firecrackers.
Supply possession of drugs.
It is noted that seven people are accused of violating the drug law and another seven of drug trafficking without being involved in the criminal organization.
