Friday today, April 26, 2024, before Lazarus.
Tomorrow, all resurrections will be sung in the services in the Temples, as a reminder of the victory of death by the Life-Giver Christ.
And the deceitful Jews, blinded by the passion of dishonor, think of murdering the resurrected Lazarus, because many of the people, seeing the living and undeniable miracle of his resurrection, believe in Jesus the Nazarene, as they called the Lord Jesus Christ.
And, indeed. Lazarus leaves, travels to Cyprus, where he served as Bishop and set a living example of faith and life, performing a huge pastoral and charitable work.
“The common Resurrection before Your passion…” we sing in the churches.
And Saint Lazarus, may he remind us all of Christ’s victory over Hades, the victory of Life over death!
