From today, “telephone visit” to the GeSY software – The OAU corrected the error Liberal

No more misunderstandings between personal doctors and beneficiaries. The Health Insurance Organization made changes to the IT system of the NHS and from today the “telephone visit” is included in the software, which doctors will be able to register in cases where they serve their patients over the phone for specific issues.

According to the information that the personal doctors received online yesterday, “the telephone service will only concern the cases in which a visit with the physical presence of the beneficiary is not carried out at the personal doctor’s office and when communication is made by telephone between beneficiary and personal physician resulting in the following specific actions:

• Prescription for drugs

• Issuance of a referral for diagnostic and laboratory tests

• Issuing a referral for services from other health professionals.

There is no provision for a telephone visit for the purpose of issuing a referral to specialist doctors.

“It is noted that in order to notify the beneficiary by telephone of the results of laboratory or other diagnostic tests, the personal doctor no need to create new visit to preview results. The results are available through the relevant notification in the incoming messages as well as in the medical history of the beneficiary to which the personal doctor has access.

During the first months of implementation of the “telephone service”, it “will be measured in the visits taken into account in the calculation of performance indicators for the issuance of referrals by personal doctors but will not count towards visits by age group per calendar year of the beneficiaries”

Beneficiaries, “will continue to receive email notifications whenever a visit is entered into the IT system by their personal physician. This notice will now state the type of visit registered as well as the fact that both the telephone service and the visit outside normal hours do not count towards the visits per calendar year of the beneficiaries”.

With this development, a problem is corrected which for almost a year now it has been causing disturbance among the beneficiaries of the NHS and leading, in many cases, to unnecessary tensions between personal doctors and patients.
