Mourning in Crete, where in a climate of deep sorrow relatives and friends say their last goodbye to Antonis Apostolakis today. The 34-year-old died tragically last Monday when he fell from the White Tower.
His funeral will take place in the Holy Church of St. Panteleimon in Kamilari at 11:00.
The 34-year-old Antonis was one of the greatest talents of Heraklion football, according to creta24.gr. After a car accident he was forced to give up his great love, football, while a few years ago he lost his mother.
With a shocking message, his sister, Elena, said goodbye to him on social networks. “Did you go find mom? My brother Dodo, have a good trip,” he wrote.

The tragedy in the White Tower
The 34-year-old entered the White Tower normally through the entrance, after buying a ticket, and then climbed onto the roof. There, under unclear circumstances, he was found in the void, on the lawn.
As eyewitnesses reported, during the fall his body hit the tree branches and then ended up on the ground.
The Authorities who examined the footage from the cameras, saw that the 34-year-old, after entering the White Tower alone, wandered around for some time, waited for people to leave the White Tower balcony, took a chance and jumped into the void.
