Beyond them three thousand citizens submitted their candidacy during the process of submission of interest for the municipal elections, yesterday Thursday.
The battle will be great in all of them Provinces and all of them Municipalities. Now they are left 45 days and everyone enters the final stretchsince they are officially in the running for the first elections after the reform.
In the meantime, the legal deadline for submitting objections expires at 12.30 pm on Friday.
As said by General Election CommissionerElikkos Ilias, speaking on the show Alpha Good morning, yesterday’s process of submitting nominations for the Local Self-Government elections went smoothly, while the European Elections ballot was closed, since no objections were submitted. The length of the European ballot paper is about 70 cm, said Mr. Ilias, the printing of which starts today.
Until 12.30 today, the deadline for submitting objections in relation to yesterday’s nominations expires. For the time being, however, according to the General Registrar, no objection has been submitted, without ruling out that there will be one today.
In the meantime, for 14 municipal apartments there was a candidate, therefore, as Mr. Ilias said, if there are no objections they will be called for proclamations today, as Deputy mayors.
Her M. Monday the submission of nominations for Mayors and members of Community Councils will take place.
