“Curtain” on June 14 for schools
Regarding the summer, Primary schools and Kindergartens normally close on June 15 for the holidays. If June 15 is a holiday or falls on a Saturday or Sunday, then classes end on the previous working day. For example, this year June 15 falls on a Saturday, when schools will close for the summer on Friday, June 14, 2024.
What applies to Middle and High Schools
The above only applies to primary schools and kindergartens, as for high schools and high schools, the Ministry of Education determines every year when they close because there are also exams and the Panhellenic 2024.
As far as high schools are concerned, on Friday 17 May, the lessons are completed, while for high schools they are completed on Wednesday 29 May.
Internal school exams for the first and second year of high school must be completed by June 14, since June 15 falls on a Saturday. The final exams of the third high school must be completed by May 30.
