Lyggeridis murder: Protected witnesses and videos revealed the action of the hooligans!

Thirty videos, three photos and three protected witnesses, reveal the criminal activity of the hooligans who murdered the police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis, outside the closed stadium of Rentis.

Protected witnesses pieced together the puzzle of the fateful night, detailing the murderous call.

One of the witnesses reportedly revealed that, “The call was made through online communication applications, where Olympiacos fans have group chats. At the end of the first set we heard orders to get out. When we got out I saw AI and HM at the door handing out naval flares and molotov cocktails.

The decision to attack the police officers was chosen to take place at the volleyball court, instead of Karaiskakis or SEF, because there are no security cameras there.

“At the end of the 1st set I saw a crowd on the court and I saw people wearing helmets, masks, full face and gloves. While everyone was getting dressed, I saw a man dressed in black with covered features talking on the cell phone and shouting let’s go,” said a protected witness. The hooligans, according to what the witness allegedly said, loaded the munitions outside the VIP sliding door at the Karaiskaki stadium and then transported them with 4 cars and an escort of 15 motorcycles to the Rentis stadium.

The leading members of the organization, immediately after the first attacks, drove away from the scene in cars, shouting at the children to return to the field. The adults make sure to recruit the little ones, providing them with facilities. As a protected witness stated, “Because they know many people in the stadiums and mainly Olympiacos agents in PAE, KAE and the amateur, they have the ability to put the little ones on the stadium for free. In particular, the leadership team receives invitations to enter door 7 from the Olympiakos administration and distributes them to the children.”

The… small ones, in addition to giving supremacy to the criminal group of hooligans during the attacks, also participated in extortion in the name of the big ones. What the protected witness said about the situation with the stalls outside Georgios Karaiskakis is revealing. “HM for the last 1.5 years, has been taking money from all the stalls outside gate 7 and maybe from the shops across the street. I have seen with my own eyes that he would send small children to break stalls in case they did not give the money he asked for or force them to pick up the stalls and leave. He gets at least 20 euros from each stall.

The leaders of the criminal organization made money according to the protected witnesses even by selling tickets.

“I’ve seen a bunch of people in their fifties go out of pocket at games selling tickets. This is also helped by the accreditation cards carried by the seniors, which they obtain from the Olympiakos administration, which enables them to move around undisturbed both inside and outside the sports facilities.”

The protected witnesses also identified the two leaders of the organization, Joseph and the trapper manager, in videos of attacks on opposing fans. In January 2023, the two individuals appear on video shooting flares at OFI fans inside the Georgios Karaiskakis stadium, before the Crete team’s match against Olympiakos. In December 2022, the same people are seen, one in a blue jacket and the other in a gray one, trying to remove banners from the fans of Ioannina during the match, PAS Ioannina – Olympiacos.

The protected witnesses allegedly gave details to the officers of the sub-directorate dealing with sports violence about other attacks as well.
