D. Michailidou: Invitation for 700 doctors to KEPA – Deadlines and procedures

“Thirteen years after the establishment of the Disability Certification Centers, today we are more than doubling the number of KEPA doctors and increasing the specialties that certify disability. Another commitment of ours, towards our disabled fellow citizens, is being implemented”, said the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Domna Michailidou.

As he stated, “this decision of ours, which comes a few months after the 50% increase in the fees of KEPA doctors, is part of our integrated plan for the upgrading and smooth operation of the Disability Certification Centers for the benefit of our disabled fellow citizens but and the scientific staff of the Centers”.

The Minister of Labor and Social Security emphasized that “with today’s issuance of an invitation for the inclusion of 700 doctors in the Register of the Special Body of Doctors (ESI) of the KEPA, an action is being taken”, as, as she said, “the strengthening of Disability Certification Centers, to deal with many chronic problems. Such as the long wait for the determination of an examination date by the health committees due to the number of applications and the limitation of the number of doctors and specialties”.

According to the challenge, the number of doctors certifying disability at the KE.PA.A will more than double from the current 500, with the addition of another 700, it will reach 1,200. At the same time, the number of specialties is also increasing, as for the first time – since the creation of the KE.PA. in 2011, pediatricians, developmentalists and child psychiatrists will join the Committees.

Those interested (doctors), enter using their personal TAXISnet codes at the electronic address here and fill in the fields of the electronic application-declaration, which include their basic identity and contact information, as well as their additional information, such as , degrees, other required qualifications, graded criteria, etc.

The deadline for submitting candidacy applications is set at 26 calendar days, i.e. starting on May 1, 2024 at 09:00 and ending on May 26 at 23:59.

It is recalled that the amount of compensation for doctors increased by 50%, according to No. 26071/2024 Joint Ministerial Decision “Determination of compensation for the doctors of the Special Corps of Doctors, the secretaries of the health committees of the Disability Certification Center and the doctors and secretaries of the Sampling Control Committee of the Disability Certification Center of the Electronic National Social Security Agency” (Y.O. D.D. 339).

Upgrading services for citizens with disabilities is very high on the priorities of the leadership of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and e-EFKA.
