The accused, who remains in custody since yesterday after the deadline he received from the Investigator, is asked to apologize for violence against a member of parliament during the exercise of his duties, for the attack inside the Parliament.
The serious episodewhich resulted in injury to Mr. Grammenosactivated, with the direct intervention of the president of the Parliament Costa Tasoulathe spontaneous process, for committing a felony and thus the independent MP was arrested immediately after his act.
Mr. Gramenos has fractures in his nasal bones, he has a sprain in his jaw, traumatic ligament rupture of the wrist and forearm, according to the medical bulletin. Doctors recommended rest and 10 days sick leave. However, Mr. Floros denies that he punched him.
According to statements by the defendant’s lawyer, Vassos Pantazis, the incident was preceded by a “vulgar verbal attack” by the victim towards her principal. The advocate referred to “justified indignation”, as “provided for and defined in the criminal law”. At the same time, Mrs. Pantazi, expressing surprise at the criminal charge against Mr. Floros, spoke of “legal exaggeration” over an unfortunate personal incident.

ND MP, Stratos Simopoulos he declared, since he was also an eyewitness: “I was in front of this despicable incident which proves that within the Parliament there is Kasidiarism by parties that identify themselves as right-wing. He punched the Hellenic Solution MP in front of my eyes. The Hellenic Solution MP fell to the floor. And he even went to the doctor’s office of the Parliament while the other was shouting. It turns out there is a prehistory.”
The unprecedented episode in parliamentary times took place during the debate on the lifting of the immunity of Kyriakos Velopoulos. According to the current independent and former Spartan MP, Konstantinos Floros, he was preceded by a vulgar attack by the member of the Hellenic Solution against him.
What happened
The reason for the episode was the debate in the Plenary of the Parliament of the lifting of the immunity of the president of the Hellenic Solution, Kyriakos Velopouloswhose case involved defamation through a false social network account submitted by a Navy SEAL officer.
Mr. Floros, whose father had filed the lawsuit against Mr. Velopouloshad asked to take the floor in the Plenary, however the regulation did not allow it and he was not given it, reacting to the petition of the parliamentary representative of the Hellenic Solution Constantinos Chitas, for carbine pre-election political expediency which, although it does not concern Mr. Velopoulos, requested the lifting of his immunity to appear before his natural judge.
According to information, in the Plenary there was a verbal confrontation between Mr. Floros and Mr. Grammenos. The same information states that Mr. Floros reacted by shouting at Mr. Chita that “that will be decided by the judges“, Mr. Grammenos replied with heavy characterizations.
When the two men came out of the Plenary, Mr. Floros attacked him, grabbed him by the neck, punched him and threw him to the floor. It is noted that Mr. Grammenos, according to the same information, had testified action against the father of Mr. Floros for defamation through the press Ms insult.
Unanimous condemnation
“Sympathies to the colleague who was attacked by a member of parliament. Unacceptable,” stressed ND parliamentary representative, Thanos Pleuris.

“Fascism and the extreme right are not dealt with by legal means, but the Greek people will send them where they need to go,” stressed the Thanasis Pafilis, Member of Parliament of the KKE.
“I never expected people in parliament to repeat acts that have to do with animal instincts. Those who want to behave like animals should go out into the jungle and behave like that” emphasized president of the Hellenic Solution Kyriakos Velopoulos.
“We unequivocally condemn the carnage that took place in the parliament,” she said Member of Parliament of the New Left, Meropi Tzouffi.
The president of the “Spartans” spoke of a very tragic and unacceptable incident Vasilis Stigas. “The we condemn unequivocally. We condemn every form of violence wherever it comes from. Especially in this sacred space that we respect and love,” said Mr. Stigas and added: “We agree with Mr. Tasoula so that there are no such miserable incidents in here.’

“There is no place in the parliament for hand-wringing, insults and behavior of settling accounts that do not in any way serve what the citizens expect the Parliament to constitute” emphasized the president of Freedom of Navigation, Zoe Konstantopoulou.
