The last asphalt paving works on St. Avenue. Kazantzidis, in Nea Alikarnassos, on the upstream towards Kallithea, was closely watched today Wednesday by the Deputy Regional Governor for Technical Works of the Region of Crete, Nikos Skoulas.
This is the last stage of the project of the Region of Crete, which included technical flood protection works in a length of 2.5 kilometers from the uneven junction of Alikarnassos to the level junction of Kallithea.
At the same time, work was carried out to upgrade road safety with a total budget of 4,500,000 euros.
The deputy regional governor of Technical Works of the Region of Crete, Nikos Skoulas, in his statement points out: “We see the completion today of a very important, but also difficult, intervention by the Region of Crete in the urban complex of Heraklion. The civil protection of the wider area was reinforced, the road safety conditions improved, the everyday life of passing drivers was upgraded.
