Past from Poseidon S. Georgopoulos

--

Sakis Georgopoulos will not continue on the Poseidon bench, as he announced his retirement in his statements.

In a difficult year for the unionthe skilled coach arrived mid-season, changing the image of the historic club for the better, with elements of passion, intensity and self-sacrifice characterizing the team’s style.

Of course, the highlight was the draw with Herodotus under his instructions, where he basically deprived the team of Nea Halicarnassus of the championship.

In detail what he said: “My cooperation with the Poseidon team has ended. It was an honor but also a special pleasure to be on the bench of such a historic team.

Many thanks to my footballers for their cooperation as well as to Manolis Klonaris, Antonis Vlahakis who contributed as much as they could to keep the club alive.

I came at the most difficult moment, knowing that the team was in trouble and basically wanting to plan the team for the next season.

Things didn’t turn out the way I wanted and they didn’t happen as they had promised me and therefore my collaboration with this historical association does not continue.

I wish from the bottom of my heart for this great team to find its way and return to the categories it belongs to. A big thank you to everyone.”
