To the prosecutor those arrested for the Lyggeridis murder – How EL.AS. reached their tracks

The 60 arrested for the Lyggeridis murder and for other fights and incidents in stadiums and sports grounds were brought to the investigator and the prosecutor just before 9 am.

The people included in the case file are said to have been active for at least five years – from 2019 until today -, not only in Attica, but also in the province, such as in Volos and Ioannina.

Of the more than 64 people who have been arrested, the experienced officers of Attica Security have identified many of them in 11-12 cases of fan violence.

However, the very tough core of the hooligans, their leadership core, amounts to about 20 people.

According to police sources, five people are charged as moral perpetrators of the murder of Giorgos Lyggeridis.

This is a person who, when he was arrested, had the sum of 5,000 euros with him, with the same sources stating that it was very likely that he was trying to escape from our country, realizing that the cordon around his person was tightening.

A trapper manager is also charged as moral perpetrators, as well as three other people, one of whom has previously been arrested for racist attacks.

How the police “tied up” the charge of the criminal organization

The police officers dealing with violence in the sports arenas managed through the secret investigation for four months to “bind” the charge of the criminal organization, through important findings mainly from the scene of the murder of the MAT police officer.

The videos, photographs and witness statements “provided” basic evidence, while various weapons of war that had been identified outside the “Melina Merkouri” stadium and had been transferred to the forensic laboratories, as well as from the toilets of the stadium, also “spoke” in the forensic laboratories. where they had set fire to clothes in order to disappear their traces.

At the same time, persons were identified from the lifting of telephone privacy, while the movements they had made were also targeted by the investigations.

As for the attack outside the Rendis stadium, the hooligans gave the slogan “let’s go out now to finish them off, clean them up” and then distributed weapons such as bottles, flares and more. Moments later, Giorgos Lyggeridis fell mortally wounded to the ground from the naval flare that had been nailed to his thigh.
