Lyggeridis murder: Handcuffs on three leaders of “Thyras 7”

Three leading members of Door 7 of the Olympiacos fans are among those arrested for the Lyggeridis murder.

Since the early hours of Monday (22/4), a wide-ranging police operation of the sub-directorate of sports violence has been underway in collaboration with other security services, to identify and arrest fans who participated in the murder of Giorgos Lyggeridis in Rentis.

The police operation has resulted in the arrest of more than 50 people so far for the murderous naval flare attack on 31-year-old police officer Giorgos Lyggeridis on December 7, 2023, outside the closed gym in Rentis.

Among those arrested are three leading members of Thira organized fans of Olympiakos and as it seems these individuals were giving orders and distributing the roles in this criminal organization which the Police are investigating.

In fact, the three arrested have also concerned the authorities and the Directorate for Combating Sports Violence many times.

In particular, according to police information:

This is a person who is considered to be a leading member of Thira 7, the organized fans of Olympiakos.

The second person is the manager of a well-known trapper who was involved in the investigation from the beginning.

The third person being investigated as the moral perpetrators of the attack is known by the nickname “Romanian”.

In total, in the case file that is being formed, the main defendants are 64 and three people appear as moral perpetrators.
