The Minister of Citizen Protection Michalis Chrysochoidismspeaking at her conference POASSYafter the arrests made for the murder of the policeman Giorgos Lyggeridisgave the assurance that “justice will be served, as provided for by the Republic and our Constitution”.
Mr. Chrysochoidis emphasized that mourning should be turned into action “both for the one who “left” and for those who stay behind. We must review the entire legal regime around the protection of victims of violence and terrorism.”
“Georgos will be with us every day, to remind us how precious human life is and how abhorrent, murderous and destructive violence is for any society,” noted Mr. Chrysochoidis.
At the same time, he sent a message to his parents Giorgos Lyggeridis, but also to the parents of each victim. “They will not be alone. The Greek Police, but also all of Greece, will be by your side, so that every day we can fight, fight and fight not only as a society, but also as a Police, to fight crime”, he underlined.
