Rentis: Arrests for the Lyggeridis murder

The time to assign responsibility for the tragic death of 31-year-old MAT police officer Giorgos Lyggerridis, to Rentis, has arrived with the completion of the investigations and the delivery of the case file.

Since the early morning hours today, a large-scale police operation of the Sub-Directorate for Combating Violence in Sports Venues of the Attica Security, is underway to arrest the people involved in the fatal injury with a naval flare of the unfortunate police officer, on December 7, 2023, outside the indoor gym of Rentis, where a Volleyball match was taking place.

So far, dozens of people have been arrested and a large number of searches have been carried out in homes and vehicles, while various items of evidence have been seized.

According to reports, around 60 people have already been arrested and the operation is ongoing. According to information, the case file that has been filed has more than 150 defendants.
