Orestes, the mysterious man who entered the lives of the viewers when he arrived in Mani to avenge the death of Kimon, after many adventures that brought him face to face with the “circle” of Demosthenes and his friend George Kourakos, is preparing to make a final output.
But his exit will not be peaceful, nor planned. A tragic event will drive him to the extremes and he will be forced to seek a way out away from the “Land of Olives” which now has only painful memories for him.
The painful event will be the death of Alcmene. The young woman will fall victim to the extreme jealousy of Antonia, who will not be able to accept that the woman she loved found happiness with another.
The beginning will be made by Ismeni’s decision to get rid of the business. When Antonia finds out, she will be furious. How much more so when Alcmene, instead of getting angry, will show absolute indifference.
For Antonia, the sale ad that entered the business puts an end to her dreams that she will be able to stay in Mani and claim Alcmene from Orestes, who has taken her fancy. Jealousy takes its hand and Alcmeni falls dead in a scene that will shock the already shaken society of the region.
For Orestes, Alcmene’s death is a blow he cannot overcome. He closes his business and returns to Athens, to his old life which he left behind to move to Mani.
This development will certainly bring disruption to the viewers of the successful series. However, it will allow Giorgos Angelopoulos, who recently became a father for the first time, to deal undistractedly with his family obligations, as well as with the water sports business he maintains in his native Skiathos, where he spends the summer months every year.
