Great police operation has been ongoing since Sunday evening by the Sub-Directorate for Combating Violence in Sports Venues in collaboration with other services of the Hellenic Police, following the investigation into the murderous attack with a naval flare against the 31-year-old MAT police officer on December 7, 2023 in Renti. The unfortunate policeman died after a 20-day battle in ICU of the General State of Nice.
According to information, they have been searches in dozens of houses and places relating to persons involved with fan movement.
So far they have been 50 arrests and dozens of arrests, while the operation is ongoing after the completion of its criminal case file.
The arrested are expected to be brought before the prosecutor to be charged.
THE 31-year-old police officer passed away on December 27after a hard battle that he fought for 20 days, after the serious injury to him from a naval flare that he had received during incidents that took place outside the “Melina Merkouri” stadium in Rentis during the “eternal” derby, Olympiacos – Panathinaikos.
