It is recalled that the baby was taken dead last night to the hospital of Kos. According to information, the 24-year-old mother of the child, who is Roma, found yesterday at 19:45 that her minor daughter had lost consciousness.

He then tried to resuscitate the child while at the same time shouting for help. Then, tenants of the apartment building went to the apartment in order to help. Around 20:15 the child’s mother called an ambulance and at the same time another tenant provided first aid. At 8:25 p.m., EKAV rescuers arrived, who found that the infant was not breathing and proceeded to resuscitate him.

At 20:32 the infant was received by the on-call doctors of the Kos General Hospital, who found that the child was not breathing. Despite the efforts of the doctors, the infant died at 20:45.

According to initial information, doctors noticed that the infant had bruises and abrasions on various parts of his body. Immediately, they informed the police, where during the inspection of the body they also confirmed what the doctors reported. There was also talk of signs of sexual abuse, but no such thing emerged from the forensic report.

Both the infant’s mother, who is pregnant, and his father were arrested and taken to the ward. There they said that the child choked on the milk while the mother was feeding him. They also reported to the authorities that the injuries suffered by the infant came either from blows received by her two-year-old brother, or from some accidents.

What the neighbors say about the baby’s father

Neighbors who know the family say the father was also involved with drugs, beating his wife and children, and had notified welfare, but the family was not helped.

The family lives in central Greece and went to Kos for the summer season.
