Then he became one of the 12 Apostles for whom the Lord praised, saying: “Behold, a true Israelite, there is none of them”. The apostolic activity of the Apostle Nathanael extends to Africa, Mauritania and Britain, where he was crucified by pagans.

Saint Theodore of Syceotis lived at the end of the 6th and the beginning of the 7th century. He came from the village of Sykeoi in Galatia, Asia Minor, from which he took the nickname “Sykeotis”.

His mother Maria was a former prostitute who dedicated herself to raising her child. His father’s name was Cosmas and he was a royal postman. But Kosmas abandoned the pregnant Maria.

Theodore became a monk at the Hotzeva Monastery in Palestine and he became a monk in various monasteries both in Palestine and in the Christian East. He was even called by the Emperor and the Patriarch to the City to bless and preach. But because his fame was growing and he did not want to be honored, he returned to his monastery. He also served as bishop of Anastasiapolis.

Saint Theodore slept in peace in the year 613 AD.
