--

Last year the lamb was sold for €9.90 without the head. The head makes up 8% of the lamb and can be sold separately, close to €1.50. This year, although we expected to find it under €10, it seems that it is already sold at the supermarket for €11.98!

First we have third values. That of supermarkets, the market and
end of butchers. The highest value will be found at
butcher shops.

Also, there are three categories of lamb. A class, the
of milk. B’, the heaviest lambs perhaps Greekized and not Greek.
That is, they come alive and are slaughtered here. If it is slaughtered in our country,
he also gets the seal. C’ the anemic.

We can also consume thirds without fear. A lamb that comes from
the outside doesn’t mean it’s broken. But the problem is that
christened Greek. In essence, people are misled because they arrive from
Romania 4.50-4.70€ per kilo and then they are advertised as domestic with
our own prices!

This results from the fact that there is a shortage of personnel in
slaughterhouses, specifically veterinarians, and by extension there are no controls.

In ours. At the moment the price in the slaughterhouses ranges from 7.5€-8.5€.
We add €0.50 to the slaughterhouse, another €0.20 for transport, plus VAT,
we reach 10. Won’t it make a profit? Of course. This is what we are already seeing in the supers
market value close to 12. Will you tell me the time of the corona virus that
they sold at the slaughterhouses for €2.50, again we had lamb worth €8-9 per kilo.

Profiteering.

If we estimate that a good lamb is around 12 to 14 kg,
we need €150 exclusively for the lamb. Potatoes; Salads? Appetizer;
Dessert; Drinks? Gifts?

Personally, the day before yesterday I went to get a simple candle
to my godmother, which comes with a toy, to a familiar
department store and I paid €25. Let me not refer to those who
at the same time they want to travel. Coastal ferries are another discussion.

So we won’t find lamb under €10. And if we find it, it’s better not to
let’s buy. At the moment, in the supermarket it will range at €12, at
butchers can reach 15-16 € depending on the category and on
purchase at around €11.

It remains to be seen whether prices will change upwards or downwards.
