Sadness has been caused by the news of the death of an infant, just one year old in Kos, who choked on his food.

Details are coming to the surface about the causes that led to the death of the infant in Kos. As everything points to the one-year-old girl, she allegedly choked on a boiled potato.

“His mother said that she fed him boiled potatoes,” Hariklia Christofi, the journalist of the BIMA TIS KO newspaper, revealed to the Star.

“I remember asking, ‘What happened?’ and the mother said to me “The child was sleeping, I hugged him…” I asked her: “Why did he vomit?” and she said: “She ate boiled potatoes…” That’s exactly what came out of her mouth,” he described.

“I was sitting with the mother, she was shocked. He said the child is dead. I said to her: “Why, my girl, do you think he is dead?” The doctors will say…” “No,” he says, “my child is dead.” This was the impression she had and she said this from the first moment I was next to her. I don’t know why,” he added.

Both the infant’s mother, who is pregnant, and his father were arrested and taken to the ward. On Monday they will be taken to the prosecutor on the charge of fatal exposure of a minor.
