A new software update for the PS5 it just became available and even breaks away from the usual stability updates, adding a very useful feature.
Going into details, this is the 24.03-09.20.00 update, which is about 1GB in size and can be downloaded to all PS5 models, either the digital or regular versions. The most important new addition of this update concerns the Game Help.
Now, in addition to the hints that a title’s development team itself could embed if they wished, the PlayStation gaming community will also be able to post help videos. This will happen automatically if a player opts in, with the PS5 recording and posting gameplay footage so that other members of the community know how to beat a difficult part of a game or how to find a secret.
Another change made concerns the indications for the remote play, while there are also stability improvements for the operating system in general.

- Game Help has been expanded by adding features from the Community Game Help.
- In Game Help you will see hints with the label Community game help in supported games, indicating that the hint was created from gameplay videos of other players.
- You can participate in the Community Game Help by enabling automatic video recording of your games, which will be added to the feature after they are reviewed.
To take part, select sequentially Settings > Recordings and broadcasts > Records > Automatic recordings > Community game help and then select Participation. You can also withdraw your participation at any time.
- In Remote Play, if you keep seeing the message “Connected for Remote Play.”, you can now hide it from your game screen. Select sequentially Settings > System > Remote play and activate it Connection status with Remote Play hidden.
- We improved the performance and stability of the system software.
- We improved messages and usability on some screens.
