Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra May Have 200MP Camera – Samsung

--

Although we are only a few days away from Samsung announcing its next line of foldable smartphones, the first information about the Galaxy S23 series devices that are expected to launch early next year have started to emerge.

The latest rumor calls for the flagship Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone to feature a main camera based on a new 200MP sensor. Well-known leakster – and reliable for his information as it has proven to be from time to time – Ice Universe is almost 100% sure that the sensor of the main camera of the new “Ultra” will have a resolution of 200MP.

It’s undoubtedly a notable upgrade, at least in terms of pixel count, as since 2020 the ‘Ultra’ has been sporting a 108MP sensor, which has been gradually improved to its latest version in this year’s Galaxy S22 Ultra. We expect this particular sensor to be the brand new ISOCELL HP2 and not one of the already released ISOCELL HP1 and HP3. The new Samsung sensor has larger pixels and are therefore able to collect more light for even more accurate results.

However, we hope that with the new sensor, owners of the company’s new devices will not face the issues that those who got the S20 Ultra with the 108MP sensor encountered, which were somewhat eliminated with the S21 Ultra and almost eliminated with the S22 Ultra. You should also take into account that a higher number of pixels is not a guarantee for the good performance of a camera.
