This year’s champion title in A1 women’s basketball will be decided in a knockout game. Panathinaikos defended its home ground in the 4th final of the playoffs, with Adriana Tsvitkovic leading the way (20 points) and defeated Olympiakos 60-50 in the indoor “Pavlos Giannakopoulos”, and tied the series at 2-2 wins.

Panathinaikos was in control for most of the fourth final and just like that, the two teams renewed their appointment for Sunday (28/4, 15:00) at SEF, where the fifth and decisive match will be played, with the winner to win the trophy.

Panathinaikos defended its home ground, drew 2-2 and the title of champion will be decided in SEF.

The tempo of the game was slow at the start and it showed in the 10-10 first quarter. The “green” revved up in the second period and with a 17-7 run, went to the locker room for halftime with a double-digit difference (27-17). In the third period, Panathinaikos was even at +12 (34-26), closing the period with 43-33. The “greens” did not leave room for Olympiakos even in the 4th quarter and finally prevailed with 60-50.
