Olympiacos 60-50: Green prevails and prolongs the suspense for the crown in Game 5 of the SEF

Panathinaikos beat Olympiakos 60-50 and leveled the A1 Women’s final series at 2-2. Game 5 will be held on Sunday, April 28 in Hall 5 of the Peace and Friendship Stadium, with the match tipping off at 3:00 p.m.

The greens dictated their pace for most of the game and cruised to a relatively comfortable lead, leveling the finals series.

Cvitkovic had a big match for Panathinaikos with 20 points (2/4 three-pointers, 4 rebounds), as did Alain with 10 points and 11 rebounds. From Olympiakos, Angeliki Nikolopoulou stood out with 14 points and 7 rebounds.

The race

The tempo of the match was particularly low at the beginning, which is also reflected in the 10-10 score of the first quarter. Panathinaikos turned things up in the second period, where they ran a 17-7 run, through which they developed a double-digit difference at the break (27-17), with Cvitkovic writing the epilogue of the first part with a three-pointer.

The third quarter was more balanced, with Panathinaikos managing to maintain a double-digit lead at the end of 30 minutes (43-33). The greens also got better in the last and crucial period, increasing the gap even more.

Panathinaikos showed determination to send the series of the finals to a fifth game, over and over, with the greens finally winning 60-50.
