Serena Williams was baptized a Jehovah’s Witness, marking a new page in her life.
Serena Williams, before the US Open in 2018, surprised the tennis world by announcing that she would not celebrate her daughter Alexis-Olibia’s first or any birthday.
When asked why, he replied: “We are Jehovah’s Witnesses and we don’t believe in it.”
The 42-year-old player of 23 Majors titles, on Sunday (8/1) was baptized a Jehovah’s Witness, marking a new page in her life. The baptism took place at the assembly of Jehovah’s Witnesses in West Palm Beach, Florida.
“Being a Jehovah’s Witness is important to me, but I had never really practiced it and wanted to get into it,” said Serena Williams, who grew up in a Jehovah’s Witness family.
