“I hope I get well.” With this phrase, 13-year-old Alexia Samartzi moved the general public through the STAR television station, who spoke with her parents about their titanic struggle to return to everyday life.

It is about the little girl who was injured in the head by a stray bullet in Thespies, on Easter Sunday in 2019. Little Alexia managed to survive her injury, but has suffered 95% disability. In the past she had moved to Germany, to a special clinic in Hamburg, through the financial support of the world that helped her family.

Today, Alexia is trying to live, to survive, to “come back”, emphasized Zina Koutselini, repeatedly speaking of a miracle. For her part, Alexia’s mother said that she will never forget the moments when, a few years ago, she had her by her side and gave her water with a straw.

Little Alexia explained that she got the rosaries she wears from churches, while according to the report she constantly asks “why can’t I walk”, breaking her mother’s heart.

On the occasion of this year’s Easter, her parents declare that “our Resurrection is to see her walk, to get well”.

Alexia Samartzi has undergone several surgeries which were very costly, hence the largest financial amount was collected from donations from the world. In fact, during the little girl’s interview with STAR, the bank account was shown on the screen, to which someone can proceed with a relevant donation in order for Alexia to undergo the next operation.

“Our biggest complaint is from the Justice Department,” pointed out the father of little Alexia. He is the little girl’s great love, she looks him in the eyes, while during the show she gave him a tender kiss.

It is recalled that the 55-year-old accused has admitted his act and had submitted an application for a plea bargain, which Alexia’s family did not accept. This is a process in which the prosecutor decides on the defendant’s sentence without the case going to trial.
