“I mentioned it, the teacher did nothing”

The brutality of the attack is causing an uproar. The minor student reveals what happened to his mother and files a complaint with the police. The 14-year-old’s mother tells the Live News camera “he’s had this thing for a year, they’re telling him to go back to his hometown.”

As the 14-year-old complains, in the last few months he has been brutally bullied by a group of his classmates, which includes the 15-year-old who put out the cigarette on his cheek.

“I had mentioned it to one of my teachers that he used to come and hit me and he did absolutely nothing.” Last Christmas the 14-year-old was first attacked by the 15-year-old. She also put out cigarettes on his hand and leg. A short time later, the leader of the juvenile group attacked him again and tried, as the child says, to choke him with a T-shirt, which he put around his neck.

Arrests

“I was sitting with my friends and he grabbed my jacket, put it around my neck and started to tighten it.” According to complaints, the 15-year-old has repeatedly created serious problems at the school he attends, as well as on a recent trip with his classmates.

“Is it possible for a 16-year-old to do such things? We were scared,” said the victim’s mother. After the complaint, the 15-year-old was arrested along with his parents, who are now accused of neglecting to supervise a minor.

The town’s educational community remains upset, with the 14-year-old’s classmates and friends trying to support him. He himself is trying to leave behind what he experienced and return to a smooth everyday life without fear dominating.

The second complaint

“This incident of torture was foretold, as four others had preceded it. This child was tortured, someone tried to put a lit cigarette in his eye, he didn’t succeed and brutally hit him a little lower on the cheek,” said Antonis Xylourgidis, lawyer for the 14-year-old’s family. Then, in fact, the lawyer added that a second complaint has been filed by a student of the school, in which other serious offenses have been caused by another student.
