Postponed for tomorrow trial of the 56-year-old talk show host who was arrested for two-person extortion cases about publications that concerned them in newspaper of a 39-year-old editor, which has concerned the justice system in the past.
The 56-year-old was referred to the Autoforo Three-member Criminal Court of Thessaloniki and requested an adjournment due to the absence of his lawyer. The court accepted the request and adjourned the trial until tomorrow, but decided not to lift his detention and thus he will remain in custody.
Against the 56-year-old as well as the 39-year-old, who was searched but not arrested in the context of the carjacking, was brought prosecution for attempted extortion by conspiracy and serially.
According to the indictment, a 46-year-old man complained that the two men offered him money to publish a report that would… acquit him of a case of indecency with a minor for which he is accused, and then told him that if he did not agree, they would defame him.
At the same time, one 44 year old singer he complained that he was being blackmailed into giving them an amount of up to 15,000 euros so that they would not publish a text portraying him as a pedophile.
