Taylor Swift’s new album has broken the album record for the most plays in one day, the platform announced.

Taylor Swift, with her new work, also took first place on the list of artists who gathered the most interest in one day.

Her long-awaited new album was released on Friday, causing excitement among the American singer’s many friends.

Tortured Poets Department comprises 31 tracks, through which the hugely successful Swift addresses a series of disappointments in her personal life, while appearing to angrily comment on the attitudes of some of her former bandmates.

The first 16 tracks were released as scheduled at 7am Greek time, but just a few hours later another 15 tracks were added, giving Swift fans and music journalists plenty of material to analyse.

Swift stated that the album was an anthology of new work, which brought together “facts, opinions and feelings from a fleeting and fatalistic period that proved to be equally impressive and sad”.

“This chapter is closed for good. There is nothing to seek revenge, no open account, once the wounds have healed,” he said. “Once we’ve talked about our saddest moment, we can get rid of it.”

Swift announced the imminent arrival of her 11th album from the Grammy Awards stage in February.

Dead Poets Department garnered 200 million streams within the first 24 hours of its release, while in 2022 Swift had occupied all the top ten spots on the Hot 100 list after the release of Midnights and remains the only artist to do so.

It is recalled that Swift had been involved in a long-term struggle to regain the rights to her earlier songs and finally partially succeeded, gaining the ability to proceed with new recordings of her first hits. He is an advocate for the right of artists to control how their work is used, but also to claim larger shares of the profits that record labels – and now streaming companies – get from the release of artists’ work.
