Doctors, staff and nursing staff at the Rio Hospital in Patra are devastated by the unpleasant news of the death of nurse Chryssa Nikolopoulou, aged 26.
The 26-year-old girl “went out”, after the adventure she had with her health, without however coming out… a winner. Her colleagues at Rio Hospital cannot believe that she will no longer be with them.
On the occasion of the death of the 26-year-old nurse Chrysa Nikolopoulou, the Deputy Commander of the PGNP, Andreas Mazarakis, states in a post:
“When a young person dies it’s like the world stops for a moment.
Chrysa Nikolopoulou, the beautiful nurse of the Patras University Hospital, is no longer with us. A young girl with dreams but also with visions will never again give her broad smile to the Greek patient.
Giving, kind and good-natured with a demeanor that resembled a flight attendant rather than a nurse, she became the reason for many of her fellow nurses to cry today, as well as those who knew her. In her short life she managed to honor not only her family, but also nursing.
As a professor of Nursing for a decade at the TEI of Western Greece but at the University of Patras, I am deeply shocked.”
