The Chios Philharmonic, invited by the Skriperos Philharmonic, will participate in the litany of Saint Spyridon in Corfu, which takes place on Palm Sunday.
This is the 2nd time that the Chios Philharmonic will attend the relevant events. But while in 2019 it was mainly adults, now the new generation will also participate. A total of 25 musicians together with the synods will be in Corfu for 4 days, where they will participate in outdoor events, but also in seminars organized during these days.
“It is very pleasant because we will attend concerts, rehearsals and seminars that will be held for the children”, noted the conductor of the Chios Philharmonic Eugenia Vorria. The Deputy Mayor of Culture of the Municipality of Chios Yiannis Amendasalso noted that it is “a golden opportunity for the children to get to know the philharmonics of Corfu, with such a great tradition, and to see how they work somewhere professionally».
