The weather over the weekend and Holy Week

• Cloudy and afternoon showers in the highlands of Epirus, Macedonia, Thessaly and Thrace.

• Temperature up to 23 degrees in the mainland and up to 25 in the Dodecanese.

Forecast for Palm Sunday

According to the National Weather Service, the weather will be generally clear. In the midday and afternoon hours, local clouds will develop temporarily in the northeastern continental areas. The winds will blow in the west east northeast 3 to 5 and in the east north 4 to 6 and in the Aegean 6 to 7 Beaufort.

The temperature will rise slightly in western Greece and Macedonia and will reach the Ionian Islands and their mainland 24 to 26 and the rest of the island regions 22 degrees Celsius.

Weather: The forecast for Holy Week and Easter

THE EMY for Holy Monday predicts generally clear weather with a few local clouds in the eastern mainland, the Cyclades and northern Crete. Winds will blow in the west east northeast 4 to 6 and in the east north northeast 5 to 7 and locally, mainly in the Aegean, 8 Beaufort. The temperature will rise slightly in the western and northern continents.

Her Big Tuesday, the weather will be generally clear in most areas. In Crete, clouds are predicted to temporarily increase with the possibility of local rains or showers. Winds will blow in the west east 4 to 5 and in the east north 6 to 8 Beaufort. The temperature will not change appreciably.

From the Maundy Thursday and until Easter Sunday there will be some disturbances with the weather, which will be unstable mainly in western and northern Greece, where showers and storms are not excluded, according to the meteorologist.

THE Sakis Arnautoglou states that on most days of Holy Week, the weather will remain good in most areas of the country with a few local showers in the mountains of central and northern Greece during the warm hours of the day.

The temperature at noon will remain at fairly normal levels for the season, along with relative coolness at night and in the morning hours. As for the winds during the Holy Week, northerly winds should prevail that will only reach 5-7 in the Aegean and possibly 8 Beaufort locally in the Cyclades)
